XC SVG Static Var Generator

The basic principle of STATCOM - Static Var Generator (also known as SVG) is to connect a self-commutated bridge circuit directly to the grid through a reactor. By appropriately adjusting the phase and amplitude of the output voltage on the AC side of the bridge circuit or directly controlling its AC side current, the circuit can generate the required reactive current to achieve the purpose of dynamic reactive power compensation.
